Streakers

It was cold last night and into this morning. Add to the mix a cloud-free sky with fast, upper-level winds, and you get the heavenly art I witnessed this morning. All of the “clouds” in these images are jet contrails. The wide ones were laid down early, and since spread by those high-level winds. I’ve never seen this sort of display before (although seeing a few contrails simultaneously is not uncommon). Guess what this sky striping ultimately means is that Findlay, Ohio lies miles beneath an important traffic intersection in the sky.
