
It’s day number…whatever…on my drive-by tour of the Midwest. This time I crossed the big bridge over the Ohio River south of Evansville, Indiana and moseyed into Henderson, Kentucky, once again shifting time zones in the process. Spring forward, fall back, repeat: I’m doing it all this trip.
Like any bustling Midwest town in the summer, there are some events that are just the de riguer of life at a slower pace. So after a nice dinner at the Wolf Tavern (established 1878), I headed down to the river park to spend a hot, sultry evening Midwest style, aka:
taking in a summer concert in the river park…

dancing in the bubble fountain to forget the heat…

or contemplating the setting sun over the Ohio River.
